Maximum Operating Depth

The MOD or Maximum Operating Depth is a SCUBA diving term referring to the maximum safe depth based on the partial pressure of oxygen (PO2). While opinions vary, the accepted safe maximum PO2 for SSI, TDI and PADI is 1.4, with an absolute limit of 1.6.
