These materials are used in the PCB (printed circuit board) lab facility at MRC (Microelectronics Research Center). Click on the lab info link for more details on MRC.
Lab EquipmentShearing Press – Used to cut board to desired size. Floor pedal controls blade.
Chemical
Hoods – Provides
ventilation. Power controls are above work space. Sink – Provides tap water for processes and cleaning.
Etch Tank – Etching tank for large PCB’s. Tank requires
large amount of chemicals. Manual is under UV exposure box. UV Exposure Box – Provides UV light source for exposing photoresist.
Yellow Lights – Provides light source harmless to certain
chemicals. Tweezers – Plastic and metal tools for submerging board into chemicals. Stirring Rod – Used to stir and mix chemical solutions. Tongs – Tweezers for large PCB. Containers (Glass/Plastic) – Used to holds liquid. DI Water – Clean water source for washing PCB
