Welcome to the site of group May14-25. Sustainable energy is a goal that has been around for decades. There are several research paths being investigated. This group is going to design a system that will utilize excess heat and convert it into electricity. For more information on the project description and requirements please click on the link below.

  • 4-27-14: Finished all documentation & successfully finished MatLab GUI
  • 4-20-14: Finalized the harvesting circuit and corresponding MatLab code
  • 4-12-14: Characterized the Barium Titanate samples
  • 3-25-14: Characterized several different pyroelectric materials
  • 3-1-14: Completed the testbench circuitry
  • 12-6-13: Finalizing presentation and documentation
  • 12-4-13: Finished placing leads on the film and determining characteristics of the element
  • 11-15-13: Finished our 2nd version of the project plan
  • 11-8-13: Finished our 1st version of the design document
  • 11-1-13: Designed preliminary switching circuit schematic
  • 10-20-13: Selected a liquid crystal to create a pyroelectric material
