Project Description:

The goal of this project is to create, and test, a working prototype of a daycare "app" that will streamline the information taking and sharing process within the confines of large, non-home-based, day care. The main objective of this piece of technology is to take the difficulty for both parents and teachers in the information exchange that happens every day, and streamline it into an easy to manage digital form. This system should not only make the process for teacher to enter information on each child easier, but make the retrieval and awareness of new and daily info easier and more accessible for parents. The system will also store the daily information so parents can go back and review this data any time. This "app" will need to provide a secure method for both parents and teachers to log into the system due to confidentiality concerns. The teachers will be able to create events and Daily Sheets for each child they
supervise during the day. The parents will be able to view the Daily Sheets and events for only their children.
