About the Project
Some in the automotive industy see gesture recognition as a technology that will make in-vehicle systems easier and less distracting to drivers. Our goal is to explore the best applications of gesture technology for the next generation of in-car infotainment systems. Our system will provide usability advantages over switches, buttons and touchscreens by providing safety and convenience in a streamlined and efficient system.
Meet the Dev Team!
Our group leader, Scott Schroeder is a Senior in Computer Engineering at Iowa State. He enjoys working on complex problems and helping others. From a technical standpoint, Scott prefers working on embedded systems and plans to work for John Deere after graduation.
Ethan Little is the lead Software Engineer on the project. He will graduate from Iowa State in the Spring of 2013 and plans on working in Des Moines after. If he were not busy studying database design and keeping up with homework he would likely be found outside riding his bike or climbing something.
As the second Computer Engineer on the project, Tom can usually be found coming up with a unique solution to a difficult problem. Tom enjoys Iowa State athletics and plans on working for John Deere upon graduation.
